Plot[]

The episode begins with a shot of two Redhawk driven guards, preparing a bomb to let off in the Sector that the Atrians live inside. However, before they are able to set off the explosive, Zoe - the outside infiltrator of the Trags jumps the two guards and sets off the bomb herself. She kills both guards in her odyssey, causing a state of panic inside the Sector as Roman watches the explosives ignite into the night sky.

The next morning, Emery is on her morning run; with her headphones stuck inside her ears and her mind drifting away in the early hours of morning. Her music is interrupted shortly by 'breaking news' of the bombing at the Sector which had occurred last night - said to be a Redhawk terrorist attack against the Atrians. A painful expression crosses her face as she notices a nearby car, following her.

The car veers to a stop in front of Emery and one of the biggest tabloid reporters' steps out of the vehicle, telling Emery that he had evidence of her speaking about Cyper being real. He shows her the video footage, which Emery brushes off quickly as a misunderstanding - though the reporter does not believe her. She sets up a challenge with the man, telling him that she could get him a juicier story from her high school instead of the one about Cyper.

Emery is at school, later that day; watching the video of the terrorist bombing at the Sector when Grayson barges in and sits opposite her. She questions him about the bombing, to which Grayson replies that his parents do not resort to violence in order to get their message across. Emery pushes the thoughts away, once Grayson asks her to be his date to his parents Annual Charity Ball. Emery sees Julia at that moment and she rushes off, saying that she will think about the event and get back to him.

She enlists Julia's help to pick up a juicy story for the reporter, however Julia suggests that she use Grayson's parents being the leaders of the Redhawksas her own story. Emery disagrees by saying that she would be betraying Grayson by doing that, no matter how much she was on the side of the Atrians as well. The two disagree, although Julia agrees to go and find Lukas and enlist his help in the situation as well.

Drake is talking to Zoe by his locker, when she slips out that she was the one who had set off the bombs at the Sector. She later moves onto saying that they were given a mission by the Trags and in order to fulfill that mission, they had to go to the Charity Event at Grayson's house. Drake agrees, ignoring the fact that this would make Roman even angrier at him about the whole betrayal. Before she leaves, Zoe drops that the leaders of the Redhawks are Grayson's parents.

Taylor feels jealous at the fact that Zoe and Drake are great friends and she is left out. She questions her friend about what had happened in town the other night, when she and Drake had left the hangout together. Zoe lies and tells Taylor that she has nothing to worry about.

Later on, Eric tells Grayson that he is leaving the Redhawks because the bombing was too much for him to handle and he was no longer that person. Grayson is happy for his friend, despite the fact that the other members wouldn't be pleased. Emery and Grayson chat over the fact that Eric is a changed person, while Roman studies Emery; leaning against the side of a school bus. He is clearly envious at how much time Grayson gets to spend with her.

Drake comments that that was why Roman was so against joining the Trags. It was because he had 'the hots' for Emery. Roman scoffs, embarrassed at the suggestion before asking Drake what was going on. Drake tells Roman about how Grayson's parents are the leaders of the Redhawks. Roman is shocked and doesn't believe that Emery knows about the whole situation, saying that she had stood by him for a long time. He forces Drake to invite him to the Charity Ball, purely for the reason of keeping the Trags at bay.

At night, the charity ball hits full swing; as Drake and Roman enter together, wearing cleanly cut suits and looking extremely handsome; as other people commented about them. The founding leaders aren't very pleased to see them there, but they brush it off with hostility. Drake and Roman argue for a while about Drake's betrayal, but Roman's mind is distracted once Emery enters the room. She is wearing a black dress, up to her knees; with her hair pinned back and looking as beautiful as ever.

Roman is immediately captivated by her beauty and finds it difficult to keep his eyes off of her. However, Grayson's mother takes her away onto a tour of the house; before Roman can make his move. Drake later disappears, after an appearance from Taylor and ignores her hospitality before finding Zoe and discussing their mission. They find out that their mission is to capture Grayson in order to free five prisoners, these prisoners include Zoe's father and Drake's mother. The two are excited as the mission will finally reward them equally.

Grayson's mother shows Emery around the house, talking about various aspects and other things like family. Emery comments that their family would have been close, to which his mother replies that they had always been close. She later comments how pleased she is that Grayson had found someone that shared the same values as the whole family, to which Emery was going to say that she did not believe in what the Redhawks did. Though she is interrupted, as Grayson's mother is taken away to discuss other important matters.

Emery finds Julia later on and tells her about the secret Redhawks meeting which was to be held after the charity ball - an event Eric was going to attend, in order to leave the group. She begs Julia to find out where the meeting is being held, in order to get the reporter off of their backs. Julia, unwillingly decides to approach Eric whilst Roman confronts Grayson about telling Emery the truth.

He brushes it off by saying that he has no idea what Roman is talking about, however Roman keeps telling him that she deserves to know the truth. The argument escalates quickly, once Grayson makes a move against Roman, to which Emery appears just in time to see the tension between the two guys. Roman tells Emery that Grayson's parents are the leaders of the Redhwaks to which she replies that she knows.

Roman leaves, betrayal etched onto his face as Emery runs after him. She grabs his arm and tells him that she would have instantly told him if Grayson or anyone else meant any harm to the Atrians. Roman answers that she does not care about them and later moves onto saying that he has reminders every day about no one wanting him to be on Earth.

Roman turns to leave, when Emery grabs his arm once again. DIRECT QUOTES: (Emery says) "No, you cannot just walk away like that! I have been fighting for you and the Atrians, since the day you arrived here! Grayson can't help who his parents are, but at least he's honest with me. At least he's there for me! When I'm with him, at least I know where I stand. If you want to be angry with me, then go ahead; all you ever do is push me away and act like I don't exist - so really, it's not that big of a deal."

Roman's face is pained as he listens to Emery say this and as she turns to leave; he grabs her and says. "Do you think I want this? You think it doesn't kill me every time I have to walk away from you?" Emery asks him why he's doing this, to which Roman answers that he is only protecting her. Emery counters him by saying that she does not need protecting.

Roman leaves but not before saying that he would give Emery everything, but not now. Emery returns to the party and is questioned by Grayson as to what Roman had said to her - especially about how he found about his parents. Emery answers that she does not know, before rushing off to find Julia; who informs her that the Redhawk meeting would be in a remote place out of town (on the southside).

Meanwhile, Zoe and Drake manage to drug Grayson; with a special Atrian herb that is seen at the bottom of Grayson's drink. He is drugged heavily, and while Zoe pulls Grayson out of the house; Drake distracts Taylor who is not impressed by his Drake's ignorance towards her. she accuses him of ignoring her and then hanging out with her best friend, to which Drake answers that no one is ignoring her - especially not in the dress that she is wearing. Drake pulls away from Taylor, before she can drag him into one of the eight bedrooms of the house; saying that the 'sex' would have to wait.

Emery finds Mr. Bendell (the reporter), who was trying to pick up women at the bar and tells him about the Redhawk meeting; keeping the file corrupter inside of her purse. During all this, Roman is looking for Drake and sees Zoe through a window pushing Grayson into a car; he warns her using the Atrian language by telling her that the guard is watching them. Once Zoe and Drake have driven off, Roman bursts through the front doors and towards where the car was; where he uncovers a messaging device - threatening Grayson's parents. It says that the Trags have Grayson and if his parents want their son back, they must release five prisoners from the Crate and if they do not; their identities will be revealed to the rest of the world and that Grayson will be given back to them, piece by piece.

Roman rushes after Drake and Zoe while Emery warns Eric not to attend the Redhawk meeting because there will definitely be danger awaiting them. Eric agrees, before Emery joins Mr. Bendell in his news van.

Meanwhile, Roman stands in the middle of the road as Zoe and Drake's getaway car comes towards him. Drake tells Zoe to stop the car but she continues going, until Drake turns the steering wheel and their car falls off the road and crashes into the bottom of a steep hill. Roman shows up and pulls Grayson out of the car, accusing Drake of drugging him and asking whether he had any idea what would happen if the humans had any knowledge of this. Drake says that he is fighting for the Atrians, but is knocked out by Zoe.

Emery, still inside the news van causes the power to turn off - giving her the perfect opportunity to corrupt the video file about cyper. She corrupts it quickly and Mr. Bendell returns just as the screen shows footage of the Redhawk meeting with Grayson's mother letting out orders about the next terrorist attack. Emery is crushed, as she knows she has just destroyed Grayson's life but Mr. Bendell is ecstatic with her juicy story.

Zoe holds Roman and Drake at gunpoint, saying to Drake that she disappointed him and that he would die and Roman would also die because he witnessed their plans firsthand. Roman distracts Zoe by telling her that he will join the Trags and says that he will help them in any way he can, as Zoe begins to reply to this; Drake kicks her out and pins her to the ground, holding her throat in his hands and getting ready to kill. Roman tells him that she is not worth it and that although she was not a good person, she was still an Atrian.

Drake lets go of Zoe and points the gun at her, before letting her slip away; laughing. He turns to Roman and tells him that he should go for Emery, because the Atrians would all be dead soon and if he  never told her how he felt; he would regret it.

The next day, Emery is in her bedroom when Julia comes in and tells her that she did it. Although Emery isn't too happy, saying that she destroyed Grayson's whole world... but she couldn't be there for him anymore. She reveals to Julia that she and Roman talked, to which Julia begins questioning her about what they talked about. Emery says that he told her that he wants to be with her, but he can't - and she believes this. She says she doesn't want to be selfish - "But, I would rather have someday with Roman than any day with Grayson or anyone else."

Julia asks if Emery has told Roman how she felt, to which Emery says no. Julia drags Emery out of her room, saying that she can still catch Roman when the Atrians are let out of the sector. The two girls head to the front door, but are stopped by Grayson. Julia leaves, giving Emery a chance to talk things through with him.

Grayson says that he has nowhere to go, his whole life had been a lie and his parents had been lying to him. Emery comforts him, just as Roman slips into her backyard and moves towards the window; prepared to knock. However, he sees Grayson and Emery together and moves away; his heart crushed.

Quotes[]

Emery: I have been fighting for you and the Atrians ever since you showed up. You know that. Grayson can't help who his parents are, but at least he's honest with me, and he's there for me. With him, I know where I stand. You wanna be angry with me? Fine. All you ever do is push me away and act like I don't exist. So, really, it's not that big of a deal.
Roman: Do you think that's what I want? Do you think it doesn't kill me every time I have to walk away from you?
Emery: Then why?
Roman: I told you, I've been telling you, it's to keep you safe.
Emery: And I've told you, I don't need protecting.
Roman: Yes, you do. There are Atrians out there that would kill you if they had the chance. Every day, I am fighting to make sure that never happens. I don't know how long it will take, but I do know that I can't ask you to wait for a day that might never come. I would give you everything. Just not now.
