AN EPIC AND INCREDIBLE LOVE STORY BASED ON ROMEO & JULIET, BEGINS NOW - An alien spacecraft crashes on Earth which leads a 6-year-old Emery Whitehill (Aimee Teegarden) to befriend a young alien boy named Roman (Matt Lanter) before he is taken away. After ten years, a group of Atrian teenagers are introduced into Human society as an experiment where Emery and Roman reunite. Malese Jow, Titus Makin Jr., Grey Damon, Natalie Hall, Chelsea GilliganGreg Finley and Brina Palencia also star.

Plot[]

When an Alien species crash-lands into Earth there are major differences for the Humans. A young human named Emery finds her way into her backyard shed where she finds an Atrian boy named Roman. The little girl took care of Roman until the morning where the humans shot him.

10 years later, Emery finds herself going to the hospital Julia is in. The next day it's Emery's first day back at school in four years; Emery had suffered from immune deficiency. Going inside she finds her good friend Lukas. Not only is it a big change for Emily on her first day back but it also is for the Atrian's who also have their first day at Marshall High School as well. In school, Emery finds Grayson looking at her - in a good way. While the Atrians are loaded off of the bus - and sounded by high security -, Roman finds himself looking at Emery too. He recognizes her as the girl who sheltered him all those years ago. The Atrians first find themselves in History with other normal humans. At lunch Taylor invites Emery to a party the "cool kids" are having and tells her to bring Lukas as well. Roman then goes up to talk to Emery about joining the scrap-booking club but she hesitates and says no because the others are looking at her.

After school Emery goes to see Julia in the hospital. Julia finds a way to cure her disease, using Cyper, but causes Emery to hesitate too. Julia and Emery go in the The Sector to find "Cyper" using Emery's dad (Ray Whitehill) pass. Going in, they hear unusual music. Both girls find Roman and they sneak up to his sanctuary where they find "Cyper". Roman makes out that it is known as Saffron in the English language and used for food.

Disappointed and sad, Emery talks to Roman while Julia goes near the terrace railing to see the amazing view. Emery then finds out Roman was the little boy who was in her mind all these years; she thought he was dead. After their little discussion, Emery and Julia sneak out of the "Sector". The next day, it is seen that Sophia was flirting with other humans and vice-versa. The flirting leads to a fight where the humans start to assault Sophia. Angry and mad, her brother Roman is led to History class to talk to one of the teachers. At the hall Grayson finds Emery to tell her if she was coming to the party. In the afternoon Emery gets ready for the party when her dad sees that she is growing up because she is wearing high heels and they share a hug.
Drake and Teri set up a fight with the humans because of what happened in lunch (Roman had a fight with a human).

At the party Taylor spots one of her friends dead - right after the Atrians appeared to have a fight but is stopped by Roman. When the fight is stopped the teens hear the Police siren and run away without Emery and Roman. They both run until they find a safe spot where they hold hands and almost kiss when Emery gets a phone call from the hospital which makes her leave telling Roman the way out. Roman follows Emery to the hospital where he spots her crying because Julia was almost dead. Roman sneaks in and using Cyper (and revealing its true power) is able to cure Julia. At the same time Roman's dad dies, having been shot mistakenly by Emery's father Ray Whitehill inside the Sector.

Quotes[]

Roman: (voiceover) September 17, 2014, the day we arrived. We fled a dying planet, our ship crash-landed here. For my kind, it was meant to be a day of liberation, refuge. But for everyone on Earth, it was an invasion. The humans left us no choice but to defend ourselves. I did as my father said; I ran as fast as my legs would carry me, not understanding what I was running from, less sure of what I was running to.

Young Emery: (to Young Roman) You don't look like a monster.
Roman gets triggered

Gloria: (to the Atrian Seven) My name is Gloria. You don't know me, but I'm well acquainted with each of you.
(Teri says something to Roman in Sondiv)
Gloria: Yes, Teri, I have been laid recently. And English is the language of choice here at Marshall High.

Emery: That was you in the shed, wasn't it? You knew this whole time. How?
Roman: The moment I saw you at school, I had this bizarre craving for cold spaghetti.
Emery: But I was sure you were dead. I saw them carry you away.
Roman: I came close. One of my hearts actually stopped beating for a few minutes. Luckily, I have a backup. I never got to thank you for saving my life.
Emery: I was 6. I hardly did anything.
Roman: You were kind when everyone else was cruel. That's something.

Roman: You know, it's funny. All these years, my dad has taught me about this vaunted thing called humanity. Something that, by definition, we could never possess. But after spending just a few days amongst your kind, this concept of humanity doesn't seem so clear to me.
Emery: No. There are a lot of good people out there.
Roman: Yeah? Well, I've only met one.
