Summary[]

LINES WILL BE CROSSED - Roman is furious when the sector guards ransack his family's pod looking for restricted technology. However, he is taken aback when his mother, shows him a secret cell phone she found hidden in his late father's things. Roman takes the phone to school in hopes of retrieving the data and finding out what his father was hiding. Turning to a friend he trusts, Roman asks Julia for help and she introduces him to Lukas, a tech genius. Emery notices Roman's newfound closeness to Julia, but since Julia had promised to keep Roman's secret, she deflects Emery's questions, causing tensions between the friends. Grayson asks Emery to forgive him for the incident at the sector, but she's not sure she can trust him. Meanwhile, with Emery's encouragement, and under Teri's watchful eye, Sophia decides to join the swim team and blows everyone away with her speed. Unfortunately, not everyone is thrilled to have Sophia on the team and when she is poisoned by rivals, an all-out brawl ensues. The Trags give Drake a mission.

Plot[]

Roman's pod has just been ransacked by security guards who were apparently looking for something belonging to Roman's father. Maia, Roman's mother finds it just after the guards leave and it's a cell phone. They are all well aware that Atrians are not allowed to have phones in the Sector, but how could Nox have one? Roman takes it to dispose of it but instead goes to Julia to find out if she could help hi figure out what's on the phone. Emery notices them talking and feel like her best friend is keeping something from her. Julia brings Roman to Lukas, who turns out to be a bit of a tech guru, who tries to decode the coded video file found on the phone, but says it will take some time. Meanwhile, Emery finds flowers attached to her locker and they turn out to be an apology gift from Grayson. She thinks it's sweet, but gives them back to him because she is not sure she can trust him yet. Emery finds Sophia looking at the trophy case and reminisces about how her father would teach her how to swim back on Atria. Emery encourages her to try out for the swim team and Sophia, gladly takes the advice. Gloria, however, doesn't think it will turn out well and almost shuts down the idea but changes her mind at the last second. As it turns out, Sophia is a pretty fast swimmer, but not all of the team thinks she should be in the water. Eric, for example, says she might have some kind of disease and won't get in the water if she's in it. Meanwhile, Lukas has just fully decoded the video file found. He and Roman begin to watch it and the video starts off with someone swimming underwater, but they are interrupted when Gloria comes in and orders the guards to take Roman away. Roman is brought into Gloria's office and she tells him that she won't tell anyone about this if he promises never to do anything like that again. She then destroys the memory pack in front of him. When he comes out, he asks Lukas if there is anything else they could try to get the information on the phone. Lukas says he can trace the other phone that was receiving the messages to find out what the video was. Later that week, Roman and the rest of the Atrian 7 are brought into a room and is told by Gloria, that they have to be nicer to the humans and use their words or else they won't get respect. Both Teri and Drake dislike with this tactic but agree to it. At the swim meet, one of the girls from the rival team gives Sophia a drink pretending to be friendly, but Sophia ends up have an allergic reaction because the drink has caffeine in it. Roman and the other Atrians rush in and try to help her. Roman carries Sophia away from the others while Teri, out of rage, head-butts the girl who gave her the drink and starts a massive fight. Even Eric and Grayson start fighting on the Atrians' side. In the other room, Emery and Roman are desperately trying to revive Sophia when Emery realizes it is anaphylactic shock and injects medication into her leg. Sophia regains consciousness and Roman is very grateful toward Emery. Back at the fight, everyone is being thrown around and pushed in the pool until Gloria comes in and puts and end to it and announces that the meet in canceled. All of the Marshall High students involved are taken into another room and an angry Gloria tells them that they will forfeit the rest of the years' meets. She then points out that although she is disappointed in all the students, she is proud to see that Atrians and humans were working against a common enemy.  After the talk, the students are allowed the pool for one hour and Sophia finally gets her chance to swim. When everyone is leaving Grayson confronts Emery in the parking lot and says that he is sorry again. Emery seems to forgive him and is impressed that he fought with the Atrians instead of against them like the Red Hawk she thought he was. They then share a kiss, but it didn't go unnoticed; Roman saw everything from the bus window and is devastated that he can't be with Emery. Lukas comes to Roman at the window and says that he lost the track on the phone. Later that evening, Gloria is pulling up into her driveway and takes out her phone. On it is the video that Lukas was trying to decode. It is of her son, who is an Atrian, swimming in the pool. This means that Gloria recorded that for Nox before he died and that her son is his son too.
